The Alaska Christian Ministry to Seafarers(ACMS) is a conservative evangelical organization. The purpose of ACMS is to address the broad physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the men and women who labor aboard cruise ships and, as ACMS is able, those working on other commercial ocean vessels that serve the ports of Anchorage, Whittier, and Seward, Alaska.
Operating in Christ’s name under the direction of Scripture and the ACMS Statement of Faith, ACMS staff and volunteers offer worship services, refreshment, recreation, videos, reading materials, correspondence, and at ACMS facilities ashore.
Christian fellowships comprised of crew members are also supported. ACMS may publicize its ministry purpose and finances by various means, which may include Facebook, conferences, the Alaska State Fair booth, website, speaking engagements, and Mission newsletter.
